Obama Kills a Fly
The big news this week, other than that whole Iran election thing, seems to be that President Obama killed a fly.
Oh… and PETA is very upset. Sorry, PETA, I am not turning in my fly swatter. I’ve had it for a number of years of now and have grown rather attached to it. Besides, when did we elevate flies to the status of animals? I thought they were still part of the insect kingdom. Dirty, nasty, disease carrying insects. (There’s a joke here… something to do with Republicans, actually… but I’ll not tell it for fear that somebody will organize a rally to get me fired. Can’t have that, can we?)
BONUS: You may have heard about the hissy fit that Fox News and the right wing Republicans for whom it works are throwing about the planned ABC News special from the White House scheduled for next week. Once again, our friend Jed Lewison illustrates their blatant hypocrisy…

Oh, for heaven’s sake, it’s Obama’s fault someone’s taken his swatting a fly as a big story? His staying in touch with the public is a bad thing?
You just can’t make people happy.
PETA and everyone else just needs to get over this. It was a fly not some cute little furry animal. I am not giving up my fly swatter either. I also agree with Stephanie, you just can’t make some people happy.
