The Fire David Letterman Rally
CNN reports that about fifteen extremist conservatives showed up outside the Ed Sullivan Theater yesterday afternoon during the taping of The Late Show with David Letterman to stage a “Fire David Letterman Rally.” (I wonder if My Friend Chris was there? He lives right across the river in New Jersey. Surely he was there. He’s been all about getting Letterman fired on his blog.)
Anyway, Letterman had a lot of fun with it. The topic of his top ten list was “Top Ten Things Overheard at the Fire David Letterman Rally.”
I hope CBS and the Letterman show are both sending huge bouquets of roses and real nice thank you cards to Queen Sarah and her rabid minions. They really owe her (and them) a huge debt of gratitude for this one.
And, Republicans… please don’t forget to nominate her (or at least make a big deal about her) in 2012. Please. Thank you.
P.S. Class all the way:

Letterman’s comments were in bad taste, period. Regardless of whether he was talking about the 18 or 14 year old daughter it was in bad taste.
@Mamaflo : Nobody is arguing with you. Even Mr. Letterman has stated that the joke was in bad taste. (Though not for one second will you ever convince me he was talking about the 14 year old.) A lot of jokes get told on late night television that are in questionable, if not downright bad, taste.
Having an adulterous affair with a member of your campaign staff… now that’s bad taste. So where are the calls for Senator Ensign’s resignation?
Let’s see… late night comedian tells bad taste joke or U.S. Senator admits to adulterous affair… hmmm… tough call.
I’m guessing those people who were rallying outside Mr. Letterman’s workplace yesterday will be holding a rally outside Senator Ensign’s office tomorrow. Right?
I think the Fire Dave Rally is hilarious. And they are only drawing more attention to the joke. Sarah Palin needs to get over herself already.
Oh, and doesn’t Bristol Palin have a bastard child? Does that make her a slut, too?
