@tracifish : I was somewhat confused, I admit, by your comment until I visited your site. That’s a veiled (though thinly) reference to abortion, isn’t it?

We may deal with that complicated and emotional issue in another post. You may be surprised to learn that my opinions on the issue differ somewhat from the opinions of most other liberal Democrats. However, that discussion will have to wait as this post did not in any way reference the issue of abortion.
