McCain promises to kick butt
Barack Obama and Johnny McCain will meet for the third and final presidential debate this coming Wednesday in Long Island, New York. CBS news anchor and McCain supporter Bob Schieffer will moderate. Johnny McCain has promised to kick Senator Obama’s butt. (Actually he said he would kick his “you-know-what”. I don’t think he was talking about his shins or his nose.)
Johnny had better come up with something for this debate. It’s his last chance. The hateful and negative campaign that he and Sarah Palin have been running lately is not working. He handily lost the first two debates (in everyone’s minds except those of the most rabid right wingers, who have somehow managed to convince themselves that he won them). He and Sarah are sinking rapidly in all the national polls. Even the GOP FOX News Channel has him trailing Senator Obama by 46 percent to 39 percent.
All that aside, I’ll not be looking for a winner on Wednesday night. Most of us already know who the winner will be. I’ll be watching just to see if the angry, desperate and nasty little man will be able to look Senator Obama in the eye and address him directly — something he has yet to do.
I just want to know if Johnny McCain has any self respect or a shred of dignity remaining. We know his running mate doesn’t.
Wednesday night’s debate will begin at 9:00 p.m. Eastern, 8:00 p.m. Central, and will be broadcast on all the major networks. Mark your calendar.

With the hate generated by the McCain/Palin rallies, I expect McCain to continue with his personal attacks and skirt the issues. McCain’s time is up and he knows it. The cheap attacksby the disastrous duo is not changing any minds but are stoking the flame of hate. I suppose this is the patriotism these two boasts of, to start a civil war.
Caribou Barbie cranked up the rhetoric this weekend with her abortion talk. So let’s get this straight. Talking about the issues this country faces didn’t work. Smearing and fear mongering hasn’t worked. Let’s bring out the tried and true wedge issues like abortion. One can only imagine gay marriage will be next on the game plan for McSame and Failin.
I love your blog… Wheres’ the RSS? — I don’t want to lose track…
there’s still a few more weeks till elections and he’s got that time to be the McCain people loved from before, not the one we’re seeing who’s resorted to desperate tactics
Yay I’m just so glad to see more opinions that Obama will win this election! I worry sometimes that McCain will win…and I so don’t want that to happen!
Love your blog. The worst thing about desperation is that the division it creates will still be here long after the next three weeks.
Yes he promises to kick butt alright. And he will do it too. That is kick butt all over the world. I am so glad that people are seeing through all of this mess for what it is.
If we have McCain we will be at war forever and this time we just might get hit even harder from terrorists than 911.
Why can’t people see that diplomacy is always the best answer and not war, war, war?
Sorry, this is a bit off topic, but what do you think about this?
While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, as an Obama supporter, I am very worried.
@virgomonkey : It’s just another scare tactic dreamed up by McPalin. They can’t beat him, so they’ll see about getting him disqualified. Nothing to worry about. Just more of there games.
Remember, Johnny McCain was born in Panama. The law making kids of U.S. parents who are serving overseas naturalized citizens was not passed until the year after he was born. There is still a lawsuit pending over that (in Pennsylvania, I believe).
Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, one of the 57 states in the United States of America.
