Obama Says He’s Decided On Running Mate
CHICAGO, Ill. (CBS) – Barack Obama says he’s decided on a running mate, but he won’t say who.
“I’ve made the selection, that’s all you’re gonna get,” Obama said told reporters while campaigning in Virginia Thursday.
Obama didn’t say whether he’s informed his pick yet.
Obama is planning to announce his choice in a text message to supporters sometime before Saturday afternoon, when he’s scheduled to appear with his pick in Illinois.
Asked by an Associated Press reporter when the text would be sent, Obama just grinned and said, “Wouldn’t you like to know?”
I’m still kind of leaning toward Joe Biden, even though he claims he’s not the guy.
P.S. You get ten points (which get you nothing, by the way) if you can remember where the title of this post came from.
P.P.S. I kind of think the announcement was supposed to come today but was postponed so the campaign could reap the full benefit of Johnny McCain’s inability to remember how many houses he owns.

In all seriousness I am going to predict that he has selected Caroline Kennedy for VP. She’s a loyal Democrat, a Kennedy (!), and a woman not named Hillary Clinton.
@Chris : Actually John Edwards was the furthest thing from my mind. Funny he’d be the first person you’d think of, though.
