Meet the Obamas

Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos caught up with the Obama family in Butte, Montana on July 4th [story]…

Personally, I see nothing wrong with the interview. I thought it was kind of charming and gave us a good insight into the family who will soon be occupying the White House.

Senator Obama, however, does not agree. He says the interview was a mistake and nothing similar will happen again. While I agree with the need to protect the children from the ravages of the right wing media, I see nothing wrong with a friendly sit-down like this one perhaps every year or two.

While we may see nothing wrong with it, maybe his girls weren’t so comfortable with all of the attention. They are cute and giggling, but that is nervousness, too.

I respect his desire to keep the young ones out of the spotlight.

I loved the interview, his children were charming but I understand that with repeated interviews they could get jaded. Hoping they’re our next first family!

I agree, I see nothing wrong with the behavior on the video. But there is something wrong with Obama’s reaction to the video. The guy’s a control freak! Kids will be kids but he’s so pressured about how he appears to others. Does every picture and video clip have to be rehearsed, and every angle schemed? It’s more proff that the guy’s putting on a phony face in front of us.

Just out of curiosity, Cato, have you been paying the least bit of attention during the past seven and a half years of the Bush administration?
