The liberal media

Right wing Republicans do a lot of complaining about the so-called “liberal media.” An Associated Press writer by the name of Hope Yen laid that myth to rest for good today. Ladies and gentlemen, your Liberal Media…

Kerry says McCain lacks judgment to be president

WASHINGTON (AP) – John Kerry says Republican John McCain doesn’t have the judgment to be president.

If that’s the case, then it’s probably a good thing McCain rejected overtures from Kerry, the Democratic presidential nominee in 2004, to form a bipartisan ticket and run with Kerry as his candidate for vice president.[..]

Violence in Iraq has dropped to its lowest level in more than four years as a result of the 2007 buildup of forces.

“We’re winning because John McCain understood Iraq better than anybody else,” Graham said. “The surge has worked. The political, economic and military progress in Iraq is undeniable.”

Not too long ago, Kerry might have described McCain, a fellow Vietnam veteran and former prisoner of war, as a bipartisan ally who could provide guidance on national security issues.

McCain came to Kerry’s aid in March 2004 after Bush and his campaign tried to paint the Democrat as weak on defense. He rejected the suggestion in broadcast interviews and chided both parties for waging such a “bitter and partisan” campaign.

The two senators also discussed the vice presidency several times before McCain finally rejected Kerry’s overtures to form a bipartisan ticket. Kerry ultimately selected then-Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., to join the ticket.

For the record, Kerry is not among those being mentioned as possible running mates for McCain.

That was just the beginning and ending of Ms. Yen’s article. I’ll have to confess that I am not too sure it wasn’t written by the RNC and she is just passing it off as her own.

Look for a lot of this kind of nonsense in the coming months. Johnny McCain pretty well has the national media in his back pocket. Sure, the wingers will continue to complain; it’s what they do best. But their complaints will have no merit. The liberal media, as much as we may have loved it and appreciated its accuracy and truthfulness, is officially dead.

Oh, and the McCains went to church today. There is something about this photo (besides the ever-present sunglasses… does the McCain family own stock in a company that makes them?) that bothers me. Can’t quite put my finger on it…

You mean besides the fact that McBush doesn’t have a flag pin on his lapel?

@Mo: There is that, but it’s something more. The way he is treating Mrs. McCain… walking in front of her. Like he’s ignoring her… like she isn’t even there.

I don’t know. Maybe they had an argument over breakfast or something.

It just seems a rather stark contrast to the picture of the Obama family posted yesterday.

You can count on the Apologist Press to push whatever lie the Reign of Error is peddling on any given day, and Ms. Yen is one of the White House’s best stenographers.. If they like Baghdad, they’d have thought Erich Honecker was the greatest strategist in history.

Nice site and layout…saw you via BlogExplosion

Putting the myth to rest though? Please…one story doesn’t equate to that. Everyone has a bias, it just happens that the majority of journalists happen to be leaning towards the left. In addition, the shouts of “But Fox News…” and “But Talk Radio…” just don’t add up to the same number of viewers on the major networks.

Again, nice site, I like the debate presented, even if I disagree…
