Something to think about
Gay or straight (and I honestly do not care which you are), you need to watch this video clip and you need to pass it on to any of your family or friends who are saying they will vote for Johnny McCain because Hillary Clinton did not win the Democratic nomination. (Use the “ShareThis” link at the bottom of this post.)
From The Michelangelo Signorile Show on Sirius Radio yesterday….
Did you watch it? If not, do. Remember to click on “ShareThis” to pass it along to at least one other person and encourage them to do the same. Really, it’s that important. We need to nip this insanity in the bud.

Yeah, I’ll definitely be sharing this.
Funny that the caller referred to McCain as “Bush” at first. He’s the same person, so why not?
Eight years ago, McCain didn’t sound too bad. But now he’s just a way-older Bush, and we need change.
Scary to think that people are voting – and acknowledging they’re doing so – “illogically.”
Thanks for posting this!
That’s pretty funny that this DJ considers McCain a far right wing extremist! I busted a gut on that one plus the fact that he thinks Republicans are evil and that McCain is run by the Republican party. Apparently, you guys haven’t been paying attention to those of us over here on the right – we don’t like McCain either because he is not a Conservative and he does not adhere to conservative principles.
Also – regarding the fear that a Republican will push a federal ban on gay marriages – that would never happen. A true conservative and believer of the constitution will not allow it. This is a state’s right and it is up to the individual states to decide on any bans or allowances. Those of us on the right who believe in the constitution as it is written will demand our representatives not support any such measures to institute a federal ban and amendment as it would be unconstitutional to even consider adding such an amendment.
Also – I’m not evil! :^) I just think we need to stick to what is written in the constitution and not allow liberal judges to interpret it loosely or look to other countries to see how they should interpret our founding documents. I’m more libertarian at heart – which most conservatives are – and that is why many of us have left the Republican party and becoming Independents.
I’m not voting for McCain either..but..I’m also not voting for Obama. This guy is too socialist and definitely a true follower of marxism – just check his voting record both in Illinois and in the Senate.
But – I do have to agree with this DJ – you shouldn’t vote against someone because you are ignorant and clueless. You should vote because you believe in a cause and that candidate has the same values. That’s why I refuse to vote for McCain because he is far from being the right wing extremist as this DJ puts it…not that I’m an extremist. My voting issues are national security, secured borders, stop illegal immigration all together, build up our military, lower taxes, cut ineffective social programs (yes..you have to admit – there is way too much bureaucracy in many of those social programs we have), balance our budget to including the trade imbalance – stop trading with China – drill our own resources under the condition that it is short term while we stridently move to alternative sources (Did you know China will begin drilling 70 miles off the coast of Florida next year – yet our Congress is proposing a 125 mile ban off the same coast for American companies?) crazy isn’t it. And most importantly – cease all ties with Saudi Arabia. You are right that in certain aspects McCain will continue many of those Bush policies. The only thing I agree with McCain on is continuing the GWOT in Iraq and Afghanistan. Other than that – that guy really sucks..but Obama would be worse (in my conservative opinion)
Thanks for posting this up Len. It goes to show there are ignorant voters on both sides of the aisle! LOL
Yes, I watched it, and yes, I’ll be sharing. Thanks for posting this!
I totally wished for Clinton to win, but in my head I know that it wouldn’t make ALL THAT MUCH of a difference if Obama came to power..So yea, I guess I’ll be rooting for a democratic President as well..Unfortunately though, the people in large states that have backed Hillary could have just as easily been indicative of his eventual fall to McCain, ’cause the Democratic Primaries are SO different from the general electoral college come November. At least that’s how I understand it. Michaelangelo makes an effective point though, and it’ll be imperative to share this link with as many Democrats and independents as possible, those that hoped Clinton would win, and took the result very badly. Good post!
Cheers.
@The BoBo :
I pay attention, BoBo. Probably more than you would like.
Hi Len,
I know you certainly do! There’s a lot out there that don’t listen to both sides of any issue and because of their ignorance make stereotypical statements like “racist hatemongering Republicans” – and yes – because I am fair and balanced (didja like that?) or statements like “tree-hugging socialist Democrats.” While we each have those types in our parties – that is not what the parties are entirely about – but – those who don’t or won’t educate themselves about one another just feed off this kind of hate and begin to believe the stereotypes.
I’m glad you’re paying attention!
