Premature Prez
The McCain campaign is running a new ad in Ohio about health care. At the very beginning of the ad, as John McCain intones “I’m John McCain and I approved this message,” this is what you see…
I guess they couldn’t wait until November. Or perhaps they just decided they’d give the old man a glimpse of what it would look like. Whatever… just a bit premature (and extremely optimistic).
(You may click on the image to view the ad.)
Can you not imagine the screams of indignation coming from the right had Barack Obama dared to pull such a stunt?

I thought it was an Obama ad about his health care plan until I saw McCain’s picture.
@jay : An easy mistake to make, I guess, since McCain’s name and picture are the first things you see in the ad.
Perhaps you can tell me the differences in their plans. I can’t seem to find any on the Obama’s website.
@jay : Follow this link: Health Care.
As I understand Senator McCain’s plan, he would give each family a $5,000 tax credit each year ($2,500 for individuals) with which they could purchase health care. From there, they would be on their own. (Basically the same as Bush’s plan.)
That’s very different from Senator Obama’s plan, which you can read about at the link I gave you above. It’s quite lengthy. (There is a .pdf file of the plan here.)
Thanks for the link, Len. It is lengthy and will take me some time to go through, though the highlights don’t really seem that different from the Republican plan.
