Negativity
Note to all political campaigns: Negative campaigning does not work on me. In fact, it will have the exact opposite effect of the one you desire.
This week, so far, has been especially bad. It seems that a lot of people cannot find anything positive to say about the candidates they support so they have decided to do all they can to tear down those they do not. I can understand this type of behavior from the Republicans; it’s their standard mode of operation. Upon reflection, I probably should not have been as surprised as I was upon seeing it coming from the Clinton camp.
If I may be so bold as to offer a word of advice to Barack and Michelle Obama and their representatives and supporters — carefully parse every syllable you utter and every movement and gesture you make. The Republicans and the Clintonistas are — and they are ready to savagely pounce on any little word or action that they think may be inappropriate or damaging in any way.
If only they could find something positive about their own candidates upon which to focus their attentions — I know, wishful thinking on my part. Can’t blame a fellow for dreaming, though, can you?
