I believe
In the previous post I kind of ridiculed right-wing bloggers for always mocking what the other side believes but never coming out and saying what they themselves believe. I think if you spend any time reading this blog, you will come away with a pretty good idea of what I believe. For those who don’t want to invest that amount of time, I’ll present here a brief synopsis…
- I believe in the separation of church and state. Religion belongs in church, not in our public schools or any of our public buildings. I also believe that a religion should automatically lose its tax exempt status the moment it becomes involved in politics in any way.
- I believe in fiscally responsible government. Pay as you go. The huge deficits and out of control spending by the current administration are ridiculous and shameful. It is not right for one generation to create debt for future generations.
- I believe government should be truthful. I believe we were purposely lied into the invasion of Iraq, and I believe that those who lied should be criminally prosecuted and held responsible for their crimes.
- I believe in equal rights and equal protection under the law for all citizens of this country, regardless of race, religion, creed or sexual orientation.
- I personally do not like abortion, but I believe women should have control of their own bodies. A decision like abortion is one that should be made by a woman with the assistance of her chosen health care professional. Government has no role to play in that decision.
And…
- I do not believe that George W. Bush has any business being president of these United States. He simply is not qualified and does not possess the intelligence or the judgment required by the position. He is a spoiled frat boy who has been handed everything in life on a silver platter. “Incompetent imbecile” is a phrase I have used often in these pages to describe him. I’ll stand by that.
There is of course much, much more. These are but a few of things that this “crazy liberal” believes. I trust you have been somewhat enlightened.
One Response to “I believe”

You and I have so much in common! I agree with EVERY ONE OF YOUR BELIEFS! Man, what are the odds of that…
Separation of Church and State. Religion has no business in our Public Schools. I AGREE! The government needs to get its ass OUT OF THE SCHOOLIN’ BUSINESS. We need to end this Soviet-style cabal that is destroying American youth and get it into the private sector. OOPS! I agreed with you, but then I offered a SOLUTION. You didn’t do that, so I just thought I’d help you along. You also said that religion doesn’t belong in public buildings…we have a slight disagreement there. I think it belongs in Churches, Temples, office buildings, stores…oh wait…maybe you were talking about Government Buildings. I agree.
I AGREE AGAIN! Any religion that engages in politics should lose its special tax status. OOPS, here I go again fixin’ stuff… They should lose their special tax status and so should everyone and everything else. It is time to adopt the Fair Tax. Another issue solved. Next?
PAY AS YOU GO–YET ANOTHER AGREEMENT (are we like lost brothers or something?) I Believe in fiscal ly responsible government operations, too. Allow me….Goodbye Dept of Education, Health, Welfare, Housing and about 90% of the rest of our federal government that does things other than enforce the rule of law and protect us from invaders. Another one solved. HEY, PARTNER, we’re on a roll! THE SHAMEFULL spending by the current administration…you are RIGHT ON AGAIN! The last administration to spend money shrewdly was Roosevelt. The one the bear was named after, not the elitist big spending commie.
GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE TRUTHFUL!! We Agree Yet Again!!! And if we ever have a president who LIES, and it is proven that he LIED IN A COURT OF LAW I AGREE WITH YOU that if this happens he should be held responsible and perhaps even IMPEACHED. Like happened with that last guy. TOTAL AGREEMEMT….GETTING ALMOST SCARY!
Equal Rights for all citizens I DON’T BELEIVE THIS…YOU AND ME BOTH YET AGAIN!!! I believe that “rights” are those outlined in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. And equal protection under the law. Period. Here’s something we agree on, but people are always disagreeing with us. They want equal RESULTS under the law. And equal SOCIAL STATUS and equal STUFF under the law. I wish we could give them what they want, and still accomplish what you and I agree on, but dang the luck, they are mutually exclusive.
THE ONLY DISAGREEMENT! Damn, I knew it would happen. You “don’t personally like abortion” OK, I do personally like it, but after that we are back to being totally simpatico. You say a woman should have control of her body–exactly! If they utilized that control, yet another problem would be snipped at the bud. you say the government should have no part in the decision. RIGHT YOU ARE!!! Nor the funding of the procedure. Nor the funding of the clinic or hospital. Nor the subsidizing of the healthcare insurance, nor the tax-exempt status which underwrites the facility, practitioners and procedures.
NOW WE GET TO THE PART WHERE WE ARE LIKE ONE PERSON! CREEPY!
your quote:* I do not believe that George W. Bush has any business being president of these United States. He simply is not qualified and does not possess the intelligence or the judgment required by the position. He is a spoiled frat boy who has been handed everything in life on a silver platter. “Incompetent imbecile†is a phrase I have used often in these pages to describe him. I’ll stand by that.
AGAIN I HAVE A SOLUTION TOO! I agree he sas no business being president. I personally will never vote for him again, and I encourage EVERYONE not to. The largest number of voters ever in history voted for this man, and he in no way deserves another term as President. If enough people agree with you and me, we will finally see some positive change! Dick Cheney would assume the office.
He doesn’t have the intelligence or the judgment required by the position. He got just barely better grades than John Kerry at Yale! What a maroon. And about that silver platter…that disqualifies him for doing anything great or even competent. John Kerry is an example of a guy who made it on his own. And while AlGore’s dad was a Senator, Al had a normal American middle class upbringing so he would be of better value. In fact, gimme a while and I will think of the politician who has run for president lately who employed more people and built more businesses in the private sector than this incompetent imbecile. I’m sure there are many. As soon as we find one, we will stand side-by-side by the incompetent imbecile bon mot!
Now don’t be too hard on yourself. I YOU’RE a crazy liberal, I am a NUTTY NATTERING NABOB OF NEGATIVITY (lol) Ok, no I mean it now. If YOU’re a crazy liberal, I’m a liberal in the classic sense.
KEEP POSTING THE GREAT STUFF!
