He’s back
George went to Europe. He stayed for five days. He’s back now. From all reports, he somehow managed not to embarrass us too badly.
He explained democracy to Vladimir (that’s President Putin, of Russia, but George only uses first names when referring to international leaders)…
Bush challenged Putin about his government’s behavior, saying democracies reflect a country’s customs and culture but must have “a rule of law and protection of minorities, a free press and a viable political opposition.” (source)
It is good that George seems to be aware of what we used to have in the United States. This bodes well for the hope that we may one day have it again.
