I’m tired of the waves of hatred constantly emanating from the right. It is time for it to come to an end.
The election is over, the results are now known.
The will of the people has clearly been shown.
We should show by our thoughts, our words and our deeds
That unity is just what our country needs.
Let’s all get together. Let bitterness pass.
I’ll hug your elephant.
You kiss my ass.
The poem is from Taegan Goddard’s Political Wire.
The owner of the ass is not known.

Boston Herald:
We don’t have to wait another month to know that “blog” is the word of the year. So says Springfield-based Merriam-Webster, which tallied queries to its online dictionary. Merriam-Webster defines blog as an abbreviated noun form of Weblog, a Web site that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments and often hyperlinks provided by the writer. The rest of this year’s top 10 words: incumbent, electoral, insurgent, hurricane, cicada, peloton, partisan, sovereignty and defenestration.
Without looking them up, do you know what the words peloton and defenestration mean? When was the last time you used either of them in a sentence?
Perhaps I just don’t get out enough.
