Empire Building
If this isn’t empire building, I honestly do not know what is.
When is America going to wake up and see through this charade that is the Bush cartel? If I’m able to see it, isolated as I am here in my own little world, what is wrong with the rest of you? Wake up, America!
(The latest MSNBC/Wall Street Journal poll has Dubya with an approval rating of 66%. What is wrong with you people?)

I think that people are afraid to speak out against the president, hence why the poll results are so positive (approval rating, approval of the war, etc). I am against the war, and I hear all the time how that stance is “treason” or “unsupportive” of the men and women fighting for the USA. It’s like the age of McCarthyism all over again. Frightening… and disgusting.
I agree with Ashley. People are afraid to speak out. But they’ve also been bred into lives of apathy. So now that we/they care, we/they don’t know how to react in ways that are meaningful. Clearly, protesting is having no effect. So what next? Where’s the next step if no one cares? And I think that Bush’s approval rating is so high because many don’t realise how biased the American media is sometimes. You’re clearly looking elsewhere, but how many people know/are willing to do so? It’s a totally different world once one breaks free of the US’s myopic little bubble.
So you’re not alone in seeing things spiralling out of control, but I can’t offer an explanation as to why it’s happening.
I was interested in seeing that you don’t write so much at the moment.
I’m the chap who moves the boxes from one end of the room to the other for Cleophas; sometimes they can be really big heavy cartons full of heavyweight freshnjuicy editorial sheets and folders he’s written.
My back’s not what it woz you see… and I, I, I… woz wondering as a fellow Blog industry person whether you have any need for an experienced carton box carrier specialising in blogs? Preferably much smaller + lighter boxes travelling across smaller rooms.
Someone’s just told me ! It’s April the 1st.
*sigh* I knew it. The unfortuante thing is that all the Mrrkins who just shout “Go USA!” (You know.. “I’m a Murkin! USA #1!”) will just say that’s okay. They’ll say we SHOULD get allt he contracts. They’ll say there’s nothing improper about the companies owned by our leaders and the companies our leaders are chumym with getting all of these contracts.
I’m on the verge of giving up and just moving to Canada or something. This is getting rediculous.
