Complete bore
July is here, and in Texas that usually means unbearable heat. Such has not been the case the past couple of days, though. It’s been continuously cloudy with a bit a rain falling every now and then, which has kept the temperature in the mid to upper 70s. Kind of nice, actually, and very unusual for this time of year.
Not to worry, though. We’ll be pushing the 100 degree mark before you know it.
The s/o was given a little plaque on one of his birthdays (or something) which is hanging in one of our bedrooms. It reads “The only thing domestic about me is that I live in a house.” With him, that comes very close to the truth! I am afraid to think what this house would look like if I were to suddenly disappear. Actually, I do know. He says he’d hire a maid service. Comforting to know I could be replaced by a maid service.
Since I was off work today, I did a bit of house cleaning (concentrating on the kitchen and the bathroom), some laundry, did the weekly grocery shopping and got a much needed haircut. I just realized something. My life is a complete bore!
For the next couple of weeks, I’ll be going to work in the evenings, Tuesday through Saturday. This means that I will miss American Idol. Sure hope somebody will tape it for me. Since I’m working on the 4th, I will also miss the annual Fourth of July concert by the Boston Pops Orchestra, broadcast on A&E. Will somebody please remember to tape that for me also?
Thanks. I appreciate it.
