Unemployable wreck
I kept my appointment with the doctor this morning. He didn’t. He passed me off on to his nurse practitioner, again. This is the second time he has done this, and it kind of pissed me off. Nothing against the nurse, she’s a real nice lady and seems to know her stuff. However, when I make an appointment to see the doctor, it would be nice to at least see the doctor!
The good news is that my cholestoral is down to 161, from 234 in March.
The bad news is that not a damn thing has yet been done about the pinched nerve in my neck. I was again promised that the office of the specialist to whom I am being referred would be calling me. They haven’t yet. I still have considerable pain in my left arm and shoulder, am still taking hydrocodone to ease that pain, and am still taking lorazepam to get to sleep at night. As I understand it, these are both controlled substances and both are habit forming. Nobody seems to be awfully concerned, though. Each time I call the pharmacy for refills, my doctor approves them.
I’m just a wreck. An unemployed wreck, at that. I replied to three online job postings over the weekend. No word back on any of them. I’m beginning to think I’m unemployable.
