Ferguson finale

Did you happen to catch Craig Ferguson’s final Late Late Show last night? I’ll post the video here in case you didn’t. You don have to watch the whole thing unless you want to — just the first five minutes or so. Who knew Craig could sing?

I think Craig kind of lost his fire for the show over the past year or two. Truthfully, I did too. Our hearts just weren’t in it, I guess.

The sole guest for the finale was Jay Leno. I have to confess that I never saw what others saw in Jay Leno. Some have suggested it was a generational thing. I don’t see how, since he and I are exactly the same age. (Uh oh, I just gave away my age!) I just never saw that much talent in Mr. Leno. There was a lot of ego, but not much talent.

Anyway… good luck, Craig, in wherever your road leads you.

I like Craig Ferguson

Craig Ferguson is the host of CBS’ Late Late Show. In my opinion he is by far the most entertaining, talented and intelligent of the late night talk show hosts. (And we had to import him from Scotland.)

This video shows part of his monologue, broadcast January 14, 2009. In it, he addresses the current situation in Haiti and the stupid remark recently made by The Leader of the Republican Party with regard to that disaster.

If you can manage to stay awake until 12:35 a.m. (11:35 p.m. Central), you could probably find a worse use of your time than watching Mr. Ferguson.

You’re welcome.

This is some hilarious stuff from last night’s Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. If Sarah Palin thought she had problems with David Letterman, she ain’t seen nothing yet…

The skit begins about two minutes in, but the entire video is worth watching.

Carrier pigeons

I’ve been feeling just a bit out of sorts today… you know, like maybe I’m coming down with something. Could it be election fever?!

Whatever.

I thought we could use a bit of lightening up around here what with all the nastiness and ignorance that the Palin/McCain bunch has been throwing around lately. So, here ya go. You betcha. Dog gone it. If you don’t get the reference to carrier pigeons, you soon will…

(Video is from The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, broadcast on CBS, October 6 (or 7, depending on your time zone), 2008. Viewer advisory: guest Betty White uses the ‘B’ word.)

P.S. While you’re still in the mood for comedy, here’s a bit of delusion I thought you might enjoy…

(Is it Tina or is it Sarah? Is it live or is it Memorex? Being a writer for SNL has got to be the easiest job on the planet right now.)

See: “Post-debate polling favors Obama over McCain.” (Same article that is linked to the word “delusion” above the video, so if you clicked it there you do not need to click it here.)

Oh, alright. One more and then we’re done for the day. Really, my friends, this is it. The last one for today. Really. You betcha.

Did you happen to catch The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson last night? If not, here is what you missed. (Two parts… before and after the commercial break.)

I was just starting to doze off when he started, but I was soon wide awake. At first I was all “What is he doing?” but after he got into it a bit I really started enjoying it. This man from Scotland, a newly minted United States citizen, gave us the talking to that a lot of us really needed. I hope Rick “This Campaign Is About Personalities” Davis was listening.
