  2. There are lots of rumours saying that America goes to war to improve spending and increase their economy. It is hard to believe this to be the case as war means death.

    From your cartoon on “Spending during WWII”, maybe there is some truth in it?

    If that is the case, it certainly is not working. Not for the average, middle class Americans, anyway. I have no doubt that some of the rich are getting richer, and it is the rich that definitely rule this country. So… you may have a point.

    I don’t think that was what the cartoonist had in mind, though. I think he was going after the deficit hawks in our Republican right wing who started all this spending in the first place and are now screaming because the current administration isn’t (according to them) stopping it quickly enough.
